Galveston Tall Ships 4-5-18
The Galveston Historical Foundation hosted a Parade of Tall Ships on April 5, 2018. Galveston Island will serve as the first port in the Tall Ship Challenge Gulf Coast 2018 Series as they travel across the Gulf of Mexico to visit other participating cities throughout the month of April. The parade was headed by Galveston's own - the Elissa, a restored a three-masted, iron-hulled sailing ship built in 1877 in Aberdeen, Scotland by Alexander Hall & Company. The challenge of the the day was taking images of the sailing ships that were two miles off the beach!
