Thunderhill Ranch, Llano, Texas
David Holland and I spent the day at a friend’s ranch near Llano, Texas to take images of the wildlife, the landscape and the spring flowers. This magnificent ranch is where one can find huge outcroppings of pink granite and rock, cactus, oak and mesquite lined pastures. This dramatic landscape is further enhanced by the Llano River that meanders along the north boundary of the ranch and with several large lakes on the property. If that wasn’t enough to get our attention, the blooming wildflowers were at an all-time high this year because of all the rain Central Texas has received. It was simply a photographer’ paradise. This is the first a few landscape images that I will post showing the spectacular wildflowers.
