The Garden - Washington on the Brazos State Park
I found this working garden at Washington on the Brazos State Park near Navasota, Texas. The rudimentary wheel barrow and old hoes just look like work! Taking good care of a garden this size is not for the faint of heart! It’s work! But, ohhhhhhh the benefits!!!! I can visualize cooking black-eyed peas, fresh tomatoes, okra, purple hulled peas, turnips and onions. All that coupled with an iron skillet full of homemade cornbread...............a fella could make a day of it!!!!
