Houston Skyline @ Eleanor Tinsley Park
I bought some new equipment that I needed to familiarize myself with before an upcoming trip to Idaho (a new leveling base and a tilting ball head). I wanted to practice a 50mm portrait panorama with 3 rows stacked for some Milky Way images BEFORE I had to deal with it all in total darkness and in forecasted 18 degree weather. There are some pristine alpine lakes around Stanley, Idaho that lend itself to incredible night images! Their glass smooth lake surface in the middle of the night reflects not only the mountains around it, but also the Milky Way as well. So, I headed to Eleanor Tinsley Park near downtown Houston to try it all out! The image that is posted is a 7 shot across, 3 row stacked panorama that was processed in LR. Now, I think I’m ready for Idaho!
P.S. Just a heads up! I will have very limited access to my computer on our trip, therefore I will not be able to post images or comment on your photos until I return.
